Dr. Alice Lam

DDS

Dr. Alice Lam graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dentistry and has been practicing for nearly 25 years. She owns a relationship‐based practice that offers a whole-health approach to dental care in the West Houston area. Through her love for creating beautiful smiles, she stumbled upon the craniofacial pain world and found her purpose. She saw that so many people who lost their beautiful smile also came with a background of dental destruction, pain, and loss of vital health. From the love of her patients and her own personal journey with TMD and chronic pain, Dr. Lam relentlessly sought outside her discipline to find total body solutions. Today, she brings to her practice, a team of practitioners -- prominent master of Postural Restoration Physical Therapy, Mike Cantrell, MPT, PRC, movement specialist, James Guzman, CSCS, PRC, and a team of myofunctional therapists and nutritionists -- to provide a total body approach to restoring the body's symmetry, balance and help patients to gain optimal movement and function without pain.
In addition to maintaining her private practice, Dr. Lam is also an educator. She has been selected as Visiting Faculty and has served on the Board of Advisors at the world‐renown Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida, where dentists go for advanced dental training. She has also been an Adjunctive Professor at Boston University School of Dentistry and presented for many dental groups and study clubs around the country.

Dr. Lam maintains professional membership with the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health, American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry, The Synergy Academy for Craniofacial Development, Advanced Integration Academy, American Academy of Orofacial Pain, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She is proud to be an ardent supporter of the Houston community through the Houston Chapter of the March of Dimes, Abandoned Little Angels, Operation Smile, and H4OPE (Help 4 the Oppressed, Poor, and Encumbered). In her leisure time, Dr. Lam enjoys cooking, reading, swimming, traveling and outdoor activities with her twins, Bella and Xander.
